Originally published as bi-monthly installments in a short story series, this 18-part short novella focuses on Susie Chapman, a missing high school junior. The reader follows various narrators to learn about this unique girl who has her whole high school mesmerized and talking about her. The format allows for the reader to decide individually whether she's innocent or guilty of taking things too far.

Some see her as a nun-like good girl, some see her as so high up on the social chain she's untouchable, and others see her as overrated. How others see Susie is only one interesting aspect, however, along with the questions that readers will keep asking themselves: What really happened to Susie Chapman? Who is she? Why did Susie drastically change one day, and did she really? Who is telling her story for their own benefit and who is being honest? Who can you believe?

From a boy on Green Bottom High's wrestling team to practicing Wiccans to an older brother of one of Susie's closest friends, this short novella has a wide scope of narrators as well as a diverse range of theories concerning what happened. The story revolves around Susie, her disappearing, and a school bus.

The original installments of the Susie Chapman Series are available in My Heart and Soul Laid Bare: A Short Works Collection.
