Hilar returns in her last life to pass on Validaxia and achieve final rest.
She needs Nihar (Cahilar) to help control the Validaxia.
Kara and Regra dream of past lives and each other; when they find one another, they grant each other their names from their first life.
Pekutar is Bawasani (an old soul) but he remembers nothing of his past lives.
Vihar is a young Demiar known for being an excellent hunter from a very young age -- his origin story is the first Merely Mortal short story!
